Heading to summer camp is an exciting adventure, but of course it comes with many questions. We have answered many of our commonly asked questions below.
LIFE AT JTCAMP
Laundry service is provided twice a week. It is of great importance that the laundry number is written on all belongings. Please also affix a label on other items such as phones and cameras with the number on it. Please also write the number on the inner label of shoes. Learn more about our accommodations.
It is a camp rule that all cell phones must be deposited at the camp office upon arrival. These will be available to the camper’s usage twice a day, after breakfast and before dinner. We also keep the chargers. Read more about our rules and regulations.
We suggest that you provide the following amount of money for children aged 7 – 9 years old (CHF 70. ‐‐ / week); 10 – 12 (CHF 80. ‐‐ / week); 12 – 16 (CHF 100. ‐‐ / week). The money is kept in the camp’s safe and distributed when shopping will be available.
We always help the younger campers manage their “account”. Extra money can be wired via bank transfer, or by internet (subject to 10% fee).
Valuables will be kept in the safe and flight tickets will be reconfirmed.
The “French Taste” appeals to all tastes. Our menus are all well balanced and nutritious. We therefore kindly ask you to refrain from sending food or sweets to your children. Birthdays are duly celebrated and buffets, BBQ’s, picnics, snacks are part of the daily adventure! A fresh fruit plate is available at all times for self‐service. There is a rest period after meals. We can offer vegetarian, lactose‐free, or gluten-free options but no other special regimes can be honored. Our Breakfast Buffet is plentiful and varies often! Learn more about our chef and cuisine.
Smoking and alcohol are strictly forbidden at all times.
The camp has no religion and public demonstration is not allowed.
Rooms are for 2‐4 campers. Special arrangements can be requested, but are subject to availability. The sooner the better! Learn more about lodging and accommodations.
Here is a recommended packing list. Feel free to let us know in advance if we need to pre purchase some items on your behalf. The list is only to be used as a guide. Kindly make sure that all items are marked/ labelled with the laundry number.
